ABV: 4.5% (approx. using 1.7kg Black Rock Unhopped Ultralight)

Black Rock Crafted Wakatu Pilsner is brewed to deliver a crisp and refreshing Pilsner experience with a bright, golden hue. NZ Green Bullet hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate bitterness, while NZ Wakatu™ hops are used for dry hopping to enhance the aroma.

This Crafted Wakatu Pilsner pours a bright golden color with an SRM of 12, offering a clean and crisp malt profile. The 100% MaltEurop Pilsner Malt provides a light and refreshing body with a subtle sweetness. The bitterness from NZ Hops Green Bullet™ is moderate, contributing to a balanced finish with an IBU of 20. At 4.5% ABV, this Pilsner is both sessionable and thirst-quenching, making it perfect for any occasion.

Costly, time-consuming all-grain processes are not necessary to create quality craft wort at home. Discerning home brewers are always looking to improve their brewing techniques and beer quality. With this in mind, the master brewers at Black Rock have expertly brewed the highest quality fresh wort in a state-of-the-art Krones brewery, using only the finest fresh NZ malt before gently evaporating to 80 brix for your convenience.

For best results, brew Black Rock Crafted Wakatu Pilsner with Black Rock Unhopped Ultralight (or a second can of Black Rock Crafted Wakatu Pilsner to boost bitterness) & an 11.5g sachet of Fermentis Yeast: SafLager™ W-34/70.

For a craftier option, try 50-200g of dry hop at day 6 of fermentation.

Suggested hop additions:

NZ Pilsner: Use Nelson Sauvin™ and/or Motueka for a unique blend of fruity and earthy tones.

Australian Pilsner: Use Galaxy and/or Vic Secret for a bold tropical fruit and citrus character.

American Pilsner: Use Liberty and/or Willamette for a classic American hop profile with floral and herbal notes.

Classic Pilsner: Use Saaz and/or Hallertau for a traditional herbal and slightly spicy aroma.

Citrus Pilsner: Use Lemondrop™ and/or Mandarina Bavaria for a zesty citrus punch with hints of lemon and orange.

Floral Pilsner: Use Tettnang and/or Spalt for a delicate floral and herbal character.

Spicy Pilsner: Use Perle and/or Saaz for a subtle spicy and herbal aroma.
