This Crafted Pale Ale has a combination of ale malt and 3 Gladfield specialty malts to create a sessionable but malty backbone, with NZ Hops Green Bullet™ hops and includes a 11.5g sachet of Fermentis Yeast: SafAle™ US-05 style specific yeast.

This Pale Ale presents a delightful balance of malt and hops, showcasing a light amber hue with an SRM of 7. The malt profile, dominated by MaltEurop Ale Malt and complemented by Gladfield Wheat, Gladiator, and Munich malts, provides a smooth, slightly sweet backbone. The bitterness from NZ Hops Green Bullet™ is well-integrated, offering a crisp, refreshing finish with an IBU of 30. At 5.3% ABV, this beer is sessionable yet flavorful, with subtle notes of bread and caramel from the malts, and is even better when dry hopped with you favourite aromatic hop combination. Perfect for any occasion, this Pale Ale is both approachable and satisfying.

Change the brew volume to alter your ABV and IBU (approximate values below):

18L - ABV 6.8%, IBU 38
20L - ABV 6.1%, IBU 35

25L - ABV 4.9%, IBU 28

We highly recommend using dry hopping practices during fermentation on these kits to get real crafty hop aroma and flavour. Dry hopping is adding fresh palleted hops* into your fermenter as the fermentation activity starts to slow (approximately after 5-7 days).

*Always use fresh, nitrogen flushed, refrigerated hops available from your local home brew retailer to prevent oxidation and staling of your finished beer.

Suggested hop additions:

Australian Pale Ale use Galaxy and/or Cascade.

American Pale Ale (APA) use Citra® and/or Centennial, El Dorado®, Amarillo®, Idaho 7™

New Zealand Pale Ale (NZPA) use NZ Hops Nelson Sauvin™ and/or Nectaron®, Riwaka™, Superdelic™.
